Linton Elementary School opened fall 1989 and was named after Wayne and Shirley Linton; two dedicated Fort Collins educators. Our building was remodeled in 2013.

Learning Culture
Linton is a caring, welcoming and dynamic place! Linton is designated as a Positive Behavior Support (PBS) school and actively reinforces our P.R.I.D.E. Code. This model establishes and maintains a safe and effective school environment that maximizes academic achievement and behavior competence. Linton's dedicated staff provides a supportive, enriching learning environment in which all students thrive.

Academic Environment
Our curriculum is aligned with Colorado and PSD content standards. With a focus on literacy and math, our staff differentiates to ensure that all students are successful in a rigorous setting. Teachers integrate interactive technology into instruction on a daily basis. Our school also values educating the "whole child" and provides full time specials, full time Gifted and Talented, and a highly trained math and reading intervention team. Linton provides full- and half-day kindergarten programs, and before and after school childcare and enrichment offerings.

Instructional & Enrichment Programs
Linton honors that every child has different interests! Enrichment activities include Battle of the Books, ECO Week, Math Olympiad, Art Club, Student Wellness Team, student council, Linton Pride Choir, Early Bird Reader, Mileage Club, student leadership and tutoring opportunities, and intramurals. Other after-school enrichment programs enable Linton students to participate in high-interest, hands-on learning opportunities in six to eight week sessions.

Opportunities for Parents
Linton has an active PTO and School Accountability Committee that play an integral role in our school community. Our Linton Lion's Dash, Family Valentine Dance, Muffins with Moms/Donuts with Dads, annual Read-a-Thon, and Family Art Show are very popular family events! Volunteers are highly encouraged and typically log more than 5,000 hours annually!
