Rocky Mountain High School School Website Address: History Learning Culture Academic Environment This schedule creates opportunities for students to concentrate on fewer subjects at any one time while allowing students to take more courses per year. Rocky features large, well-lit learning spaces, advanced learning technology systems, a variety of instructional spaces, a unique student commons area and courtyard, a state-of-the-art media center, a modern fitness center and athletic facilities, and exceptional performing arts areas. Advanced Placement (AP) Program Moreover, we offer other rigorous courses which are not designated specifically as Advanced Placement but prepare students for additional AP exams. PaCE (Professional and Community Experience) and ACE (Alternative Cooperative Education) The Professional Development School (PDS) is a partnership between Colorado State University and RMHS designed to improve the preparation of future teachers. Pre-service teachers from CSU work with RMHS staff, and successful program participants are selected to complete their student teaching experience at Rocky. Extracurricular Activities Opportunities for Parents Parents are active participants at Rocky Mountain High School as members of SIT, Parents' Athletic Club, Forensics Boosters, Music Boosters, Drama Parents, and other support groups. Parents also volunteer their services in a variety of ways to assist our students and staff in their day-to-day activities. |
